Hi, I’m Ra’Shadra Godfrey, the founder of “Ree” Live, Inc., and Ree was my mom.
Watching her battle colon cancer changed my life. It showed me the urgent need for access, education, and support for others walking the same path. So many lives could be saved with one simple act: a timely screening. But for countless people, cost and awareness stand in the way.
That’s why I started this organization. To honor my mother. To save lives. To ensure that no one else has to suffer in silence or lose a loved one to something that could’ve been caught early.
This is her legacy—and now, it’s our mission.
Ra’Shadra Godfrey founded “Ree” Live, Inc. from a place of deep personal conviction and love. Inspired by her own experiences and the loss that touched her life, she saw the urgent need for more awareness, open conversations, and access to colon cancer screenings—especially in communities where prevention is often overlooked.
She believes that every life saved is worth every effort, and she has made it her mission to ensure no one feels alone in their fight. Through education, outreach, and advocacy, she transforms her personal story into a movement that empowers others to take control of their health. Her heart for people and her relentless drive fuel the vision of “Ree” Live, Inc.—to turn awareness into action, and action into lives saved.
